WHY BACKTOSONSHIP?

BacktoSonship.com uses the internet to relate spiritual truths and the Lordship of Jesus Christ to our lives as Christians and our relationships with others. It mirrors what we should always be about as Christians in this short, but interesting, sojourn of a lifetime on earth. At one time or the other, we all have found ourselves on a path far from what the LORD could ever have planned for us.

We may have been neck-deep in willful and deliberate sin at the time, and perhaps we may even be living in that sin, backsliding now and then, up till the present time. In the book of Romans, we are reminded that none of us is without sin: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God..." (Romans 3:23)

Yes, we all sinned and therefore fell short of God's glory which He planned from the beginning of time for us all. So you see, none of us is innocent. We are all guilty! All without exception...but wait a second, that is not the whole story, nor the end of that passage. Further it says: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus" (Romans 3:23-26; KJV)

WONDERFUL NEWS! We all sinned and became damned...yes. The fact is, though, that God in His infinite love and mercy has made a way for us all to be "...justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus...", so that we may be free of all the sins we ever committed. How is this so? It is by the "propitiation through faith in his blood." That's it! That's the great news you need to hear and act on today!

I know a young man who gave his life to Christ in 1997, but about a year later, backslid and never could pick himself up over a 15-years period, until recently when he was jolted from his lukewarmness by not one, but two, terrible dreams of the rapture in succession, shown to him very vividly. Friends and brethren, time is no longer on our side, and the world is racing out of time. Today, that young man has picked himself up and told himself who he really is - God's child, a son in God's own very family. And friend, if you have been like him, you need to do that too!

This site is all about how we may live a pure life, and evangelize our unbelieving friends and family, and also backslidden brethren back to Our Heavenly Father, Back to Sonship. We must continue to work to ensure they find that path that ensures their sonship in God through Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Also, we need to encourage everyone in the family of God, and not neglect spurring each other towards a higher place in Christ, that we may all continue to remain true sons and daughters, worshiping the Father in Spirit and in truth, and growing in love for each other, bearing in mind at all times the Scripture that says: "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:24-25; NIV). This is all what we are about on this site.

God created us in His image. Only in Him can we have true peace that transcends all understanding, and continual spiritual growth, manifesting the true dominion He purposed for us from the foundation of time. It is without saying that the true worship of God ought always to bring joy and peace to all His creatures since that is the ONLY way we can truly be fulfilled.

I invite every Christian who come across this site to share a story or two to spur us all on, in the race toward heaven. I hope too that brethren may meet each other on this site - to sharpen one another in the Lord, and to keep each others' companionship to exhort and strengthen each other.

Finally, we must never forget God's call to everyone of us to Sonship in Him through His Holy Spirit: "Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (emphasis mine). For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together." (Romans 8:12-17; KJV).

And we must never forget that: "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God". As we bear that in mind and continually ask God to let His Spirit lead us while willingly yielding to the Spirit at all times and in all things, we do His Will in all things. Our continual prayer must be to remain as His children continually.

We must go back to the sonship that is ours in God. Amen!

LET US PRAY:
Heavenly Father, I pray that through the Lordship of Your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ; and by the power of Your Holy Spirit in our lives, You will destroy the veil of darkness of the evil one on all who find this site, and call out to as many hearts as come across and/or read the articles and reviews on this site; bringing them all into the glorious sonship that every one of Your true children share in You with Jesus Christ. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!

Pray with me (for backslidden brethren):
Heavenly Father, I may have been filled with burning passion in the past, to serve You and in all things concerning You, but over time, that passion has dwindled and become cold. I am sorry Father. Forgive me! Today, I rededicate my life to You. I believe and completely trust in Your grace to carry me through. Help me to be faithful in all my ways, and to serve You with a never-dying burning passion according to Your Own Will always until my last breath. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!

Pray with me friend (if you wish to become a child of God):
Father, I am a sinner and I know I cannot help myself. I believe that You sent the Lord Jesus Christ into the world, out of your own loving kindness even while i still hated You in my actions, to suffer and die for all my sins. I now come to You, Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Believing in Him and in the ability of His blood to cleanse me from every guilt and every sin against me, I renounce my past life and declare that I am now newly born into Your family. I believe this with all my heart. Help me, Heavenly Father never to fall away by the wayside, but to continue to grow into a true and mature Christian. In Jesus name I have prayed. Amen!

IF YOU PRAYED THE LAST PRAYER:
You NEED to continue steadfastly in 3 things:
  1. Observe quiet time every day, preferably early morning just after waking from your sleep, to read God's Word - the Holy Bible, meditate on what you have read and how you can apply it to your life and those of your neighbors, then pray to your Father, Our God;
  2. look for and join any true bible-believing church around you and be active in there, to discover the role the Lord wants you to play in His vineyard; and finally
  3. attend fellowship regularly in the church you joined i.e regular attendance at Sunday services, and weekday fellowship and prayer meetings.
If you must grow into a truly mature Christian, these are indispensable. May thy kingdom come, O God!
