Find and Know the Lord Jesus In Today's World

"...and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out"(emphasis mine) - John 6:37. Whether now or in the past, have you ever wondered who Jesus is? Or found yourself seeking where or how to find Him? Or perhaps, having once connected to Him in the past, do you now find yourself estranged from Him and yearning for a re-connect that seems impossible? If you answered 'Yes' to any of these questions, then there is something in this article especially for you.

Man in meditation of God's Word and deep prayer to God. In truth, several reasons abound why people want to connect to the Lord Jesus. The reasons range from the hope of a miracle for oneself or for a relative or for a friend, the healing of a health problem for oneself or for a relative or for a friend, the emotional somersault of a recent deep-seated heart-break or betrayal, the fear of impending doom and/or death, the fear of the afterlife, the many terrifying signs of an ending world and many others. Despite all the aforementioned reasons, the most important and indeed, most urgent of all especially in today's world, is the need for the salvation of one's soul.

Also very important are many who, having tasted the power and the goodness of the Lord at some time in their past life, are now backslidden away from the grace in Jesus and living a life of sin. They now find themselves feeling completely hollow on the inside, and without the comforting and inexplicable joy that comes from God. They want to go back to the Lord, but find themselves unable to do so. There are many like these.

It is now more urgent than ever to find and walk with Jesus, because He is the ONLY way to God, the ONLY truth of and about God, and the ONLY life of God we can ever have. Without Jesus, there CANNOT be any salvation, because He alone is the center of any and all salvation that God can offer. In Him, God gave everything to us.

Seek and Find the Lord Jesus

The Lord is always more willing to come to us than we could ever be to go to Him. And, it has pleased God to make our access to Him so much simple than we can ever imagine. Please prayerfully and meditatively consider the following scriptures:

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."(emphasis mine) - Revelations 3:20

"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved"(emphasis mine) - Romans 10:9-10

"But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."(emphasis mine) - Matthew 9:13

"All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out."(emphasis mine) - John 6:37

Seeking to find Jesus is the best decision anyone could probably make. The greatest of news is that it is extremely easy to find Him, and He has never been far from you. Jesus is already, even NOW, at the door of your heart knocking, asking you to open up to Him. As a matter of fact, your reading this article is Him giving you an opportunity to open up to Him.

Do you need any special preparation to answer His call? No, not all. Just come as you are NOW!

Jesus Christ came to call sinners to repentance and He will not turn back anyone that comes to Him. Even if your sins are so many and grievous; or they are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; or are as red like crimson, they shall be as wool - see Isaiah 1:18.

On the other hand, if you consider yourself perfect before God because you try on your own to keep God's commandments, then you truly need Jesus to show you how God sees you without Christ.

It may sound surprising, but the truth is that your, and my, righteousness are like filthy rags before God. That's right! No matter how good you have been or what good deeds you have done, ALL your righteousness, and mine too, are completely filthy before God - see Isaiah 64:6.

However, because nothing we have ever done or will ever do can ever make up for the sin in us inherited through Adam, God because of His love for mankind sent Jesus to man, you and I inclusive, so that we will not perish - see John 3:16.

If you have known the Lord in the past, but are now struggling with sin and unable to find your way back to Him, perhaps you may want to see this article: For The Christian Out There Struggling With Sin.

Connect to the Lord Jesus right NOW!

Remember that the requirement to connect to the Lord Jesus is extremely simple: You must declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead.

Just DECLARE and BELIEVE! Only then can you truly find and be connected to Jesus. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

You may be moved to ask, "Is that all I need to find and connect to Jesus?" The firm answer is, "Yes, it is as simple as that! The gospel of our Lord Jesus is not complicated."

From now on, build on this foundation through prayer, study and meditation of the bible and fellowship with a Bible-believing church. When you study God's Word and pray more often and surround yourself with brethren who love and obey Jesus, you learn more about Him and draw more and more closer to Him.

In conclusion, say the prayer below with your mouth and believe it in your heart:

Lord Jesus. I come to you today as I am. I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. Wash me with your blood and make me clean. I now believe you died for me. And rose again on the third day for my justification. I confess you as my personal Lord and saviour. God the Father, thank you for saving me. I am born again, saved, delivered and healed. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Congratulations! If you said this prayer, you are now connected to Jesus Christ and have begun a wonderful fellowship with God through Him. Please join a bible-believing church and continue your fellowship with God.

Daily Bible Verse for Meditation

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. - John 6:35-38(NKJV)
