A Major War Avoided, New Sexual Disease Predicted - 2016 Prophesies Unveiled

ADEBOYE UNVEILS 2016 PROPHECIES

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has revealed some prophesies, with both local and international implications, for 2016 during the crossover service held at the Redemption Camp of the Church on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Amongst the list of prophecies is the prediction that a new sexually transmitted disease will emerge during the year. Another interesting prophecy is that a major war would be averted in the world. A number of people have begun guessing where such a war is likely to have occurred in the first place, with unfolding events in Syria readily coming into mind.

The overseer of RCCG, fondly called Daddy GO and presiding over a church which operates worldwide with headquarters in Nigeria, also prophesied that things would get worse in the country before they improve, while on the international scene more natural disasters will occur.

2016 Prophesies by Pastor Enoch Adeboye

Below are a summary of the prophesies which were published on his website:

Prophesies for the international community

  1. Natural disasters, floods, fires, earthquakes, are likely to get progressively worse, until governments realise that these are part of divine judgment against those who have unholy laws.
  2. If governments will repent of disdaining Christ and his church, he will help them win the fight against terrorism.
  3. A major war will be averted this year.
  4. A new sexually transmitted disease will surface.

Prophesies for Nigeria

  1. Things are likely to get tougher, before they get better, but things will definitely get better before the year ends.
  2. What He (God) started last year, he will finish this year, provided we don’t rejoice too soon.

For individuals

  1. Some families will trace the beginning of their generational blessings to this year.
  2. Some will receive help from unexpected sources.
  3. Grateful hearts will have more causes to be grateful.
  4. For many, the pendulum of life in generally on the upward swing now, a chosen few will receive blessings so large they can hardly contain.
THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD (RCCG)
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is a Holiness denomination founded in 1952 in Nigeria by Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi (1909–1980). Through the leading of the Holy Spirit Pa Akindayomi chose Enoch Adeboye, a lecturer in mathematics at the University of Lagos, who joined the church in 1973.

Adeboye initially became one of the interpreters translating Akindayomi's sermons from Yoruba to English. He was ordained a pastor of the church in 1975, and his appointment as leader of the church was formalized by the posthumous reading of Akindayomi's sealed pronouncement.

Andrew Rice, writing in The New York Times, calls the RCCG "one of [Africa's] most vigorously expansionary religious movements, a homegrown Pentecostal denomination that is crusading to become a global faith". According to Daniel Ajayi-Adeniran, a pastor of the church, "In every household there will be at least one member of Redeemed Christian Church of God in the whole world."
